Happy International Women’s Day 2023!

What is International Women’s Day and when is it celebrated?

Join us as we celebrate International Women’s Day 2023 together! Every year on March 8th, we celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, cultural, economic or political.

The Rivera Group of Keller Williams Central Delaware is mostly women-operated, and Keller Williams Realty Central Delaware is 100% women-owned and operated, and we are very proud to support this cause. We fully support many other women-owned and operated businesses throughout the year.

International Women’s Day is not only about women being recognized for their contributions to society, but it’s also an opportunity to reflect on the challenges that they face and ways to improve them. Today, it is celebrated worldwide by both men and women working toward gender equality and the empowerment of women across all global industries.

2023 IWD: #EmbraceEquity

This year’s theme is #embraceequity. On International Women's Day, we embrace the idea of equity — a word that describes an equal balance between men and women in every part of society. So you can have equal access to education, health care and justice, among other battles we still need to fight. Now is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women, who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.

Looking Ahead

This year, we will not just look back at what's already been achieved but look to the future and focus on ways of achieving a sustainable world for all women and girls. While the world has made unprecedented advances, no country has achieved gender equality. International Women’s Day has never been more important.
